For the first time since it was founded in 1991, the World Horror Convention was held outside the United States in 2007. Situated in Toronto, Canada, and celebrating "The Diversity of Horror" as its theme, World Horror Convention 2007 took place over March 29th – April 1st. The list of guests included British author Michael Marshall Smith, Canadian author Nancy Kilpatrick, American artist John Picacio, British writer/publisher Peter Crowther, Canadian editor/pulp magazine expert Don Hutchison and British-born Hollywood scriptwriter and novelist Peter Atkins. Canadian author Sèphera Girón was Mistress of Ceremonies, and Joe R. Lansdale was voted World Horror Convention Grand Master. All of the above are ably represented in this Souvenir Book of the event, along with contributions from fellow attendees Ramsey Campbell, Brian Lumley, David Morrell, Robert J. Sawyer, F. Paul Wilson and many others, including Mike Ashley, Dennis Etchison, Neil Gaiman, Nancy Holder, Kim Newman, Michael Rowe and Nicholas Royle. Illustrated by some of the genre's major artists, this limited edition anthology is a unique reminder of a major event in the field of horror literature.
